Welcome to my site! My name is Anita Grace Simpson and I have
bipolar disorder. I was diagnosed in 1997, and have been fortunate
to receive excellent treatment for the disorder, consisting of both
drugs and psychotherapy.
Through personal experience, therapy, and research, I have
learned many techniques for coping with the ever-changing face of
bipolar disorder. On this website you will find my ideas, as well as
generally accepted facts about the disorder and newly emerging
concepts.
One of the most important things I've learned since my diagnosis is
not to take myself too seriously. Humor and hobbies are good
friends for anyone to have, and even better friends if you are
bipolar. My interests include writing, photography and photo
editing, health issues, music, beading, crochet, art and
scrapbooking. You'll see these hobbies reflected on this site as
well. [Note: If you have bipolar disorder, you will recognize this
plethora of interests as remnants of past manic episodes!]
Feel free to contact me via the link at the top -- I love getting
feedback! I hope you enjoy reading and find something you can
use.
